available to waste your money on.
So-called "Golf Training Aids" are a multi-billion dollar business.
The goal of this "industry" is to make money. There's nothing wrong with making money.
What's WRONG, is the amount of money made and spent on convincing you that you are
NOT CAPABLE OF SWINGING A GOLF CLUB without the help of "gadgets!"
"HEY! Hold
on a second! YOU'RE asking me for money too!" Absolutely.
The difference is: I'm here
to convince and PROVE to you that you CAN swing a golf club and swing it the EXACT SAME
WAY as a Tour Professional and the only things required for you to do that ARE THINGS
YOU ALREADY "OWN!"
A brain, a body and at least one eye that you can see out of.
I think I can say without fear of
contradiction, that at one time, I held the undisputed title of "King of the Infomercials!"
If it
had ANYTHING to do with golf, I bought it. You name it-I bought it.
The reason I bought those things is the
exact same reason YOU did. I, like you, were convinced that I'd play better golf if
I bought them.
If someone took the time to make it, it must have "merit." If some "famous"
golf instructor attached his name to it, it MUST work and MUST help, right?
WRONG!
"Training aids" are a waste of money! Fully 99% of these "things" cannot be used WHILE playing golf.
I couldn't care LESS how good my "range" swing is.
As you are aware, the game of golf is
not played on DRIVING RANGES!
That, of course, assuming you can find something that actually "helps"
you.
Almost NOTHING does. In fact, I will tell you that I have NEVER bought
a "training aid" that I could not "defeat."
These things simply don't work!
You KNOW this because you've bought them too!
You ALSO probably didn't use them. Oh, you might have
"tried" them a time or two, but you figured out pretty quickly that they
didn't SOLVE anything!
Now, they're either buried somewhere in your house collecting dust, or they're
at the garbage dump.
The "30, 60, or 90 day money back guarantee" is simply a marketing ploy.
The people who make and market these "devices" KNOW and COUNT ON the fact that 80% of the people who buy
them and are dissatisfied, DON'T RETURN THEM.
That's
because they KNOW you won't remember how long you've had it and even if you DO, you STILL
have to re-box it and PAY to ship it back.
They know most people simply decide to "cut their losses"
and forget about it.
There was a show on the Golf Channel awhile back called "Fore Inventors Only."
The idea was that "regular people" could "invent" a golf product and the winner of the show would have
their product marketed, produced and promoted for sale with a well known golf company.
They'd also get a free
INFOMERCIAL on the Golf Channel.
Most of the "inventions" were golf "training aids." Wild stuff. Crazy
stuff. WORTHLESS STUFF although it cost hundreds of thousands of dollars for the "prototype!"
The
"product" that won, ended up being a giant metal "clothes pin" used to prop your golf club up "greenside"
to keep your grips from getting wet if conditions were damp.
Justice was served! I LOVED the fact that this
won. IT actually had a purpose for existing!
The bottom line is, you don't need training aids. They simply DON'T WORK!
Don't fall prey to the marketing machines that churn this stuff out.
It's worthless and beyond that, you're too embarrassed to use them anyway!
You are NOT going to
the driving range and strapping in, buckling up, velcro-ing yourself to this, or that.
Nothing screams: "I
have NO IDEA what I'm doing" like the sound of velcro ripping and YOU KNOW IT!
You do not need extra "equipment"
to have a great golf swing.
